I am a huge supporter of the LGBTQ community.
I have many friends who have struggled to find their identity and I have mountains of respect for anyone who has fought the same battle. It's hard enough, being a straight person, to find yourself and grow into the adult you want to be, let alone having a different sexual preference or identity.
I came to the realization that the main problem in the LGBTQ community is isolation. Many of my friends have stated that they mainly hated feeling so alone, like they were the only ones who were different.
We now live in the age of technology, which has brought the world closer together than ever before. There is no need for anyone from the LGBTQ community to feel alone.
I'm From Driftwood is an awesome project on youtube that works to connect people in the LGBTQ community. It houses hundreds of videos with people sharing personal stories of their journey into the LGBTQ lifestyle.
It's pretty super badass. If you are curious or have questions or are struggling or simply want some feels for the day, check it out:
